Bart Wasiak is a Senior Associate at Arnold & Porter’s London office, where he represents both sovereign states and private-sector clients in high-stakes investment-treaty arbitrations. He’s acted as counsel in more than 20 cases under ICSID and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA). His work spans sectors such as banking, energy, mining, shipping, and telecommunications. Bart is recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a Future Leader, by Chambers Global and Chambers UK as an Associate to Watch, and by Legal 500 as a Key Lawyer in public international law and arbitration.
Wasiak serves as Co-Chair of the ABA International Arbitration Committee, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) as well as an Associate Practitioner at the University of Nottingham Commercial Law Centre. He frequently contributes to international arbitration discussions—recently speaking in Cambridge, London, and Singapore on topics ranging from procedural innovation to climate-related disputes in arbitration.
